Things to avoid: Medicine, alcohol and caffeine. For at least three days, you should avoid taking any of these products to reduce the risk of heightening the sensitivity of the injected areas and to not tamper with the metabolising of the injectable. Any activity related to extreme heat or sweat. This includes being under the sun for long periods and going to the sauna or gym. These activities can also affect how the injectables metabolise in your body. Too much movement or strenuous activity. It's important not to move your affected areas too much to give the injectables time to settle properly in your face. For the mouth area, in particular, avoid activities like smoking or vaping. Also avoid applying too much pressure on your face, as this can potentially damage the treated area. Minor facial exercises. Frowning, squinting, or raising your eyebrows can help make the injectables settle quickly to the face, but only do so carefully and four hours post-procedure. Laying down immediately. For the injectable to not migrate, you should wait at least four hours until you lay down and rest. The migration of the injectables may cause muscle or damage. Things to do: Keep your skin clean and moisturised. This means no makeup or scrubs or heavy masks, especially within the first six hours post-procedure, and no facials or laser treatments for at least two weeks. If anything, apply moisturiser and sunblock to your skin regularly. This is just an extra step to protect your skin and speed up the healing process. Stay hydrated. Drink lots of water for the first few days of treatment as this will quicken the healing process. Cold water could also help in easing the post-procedure swelling. Also, it's nice to be hydrated, in general! Eat clean. It's best to stay away from processed foods and instead eat food loaded with vitamins and minerals to aid in the healing process.
