Unit 1 Legal and Regulatory Requirements in Aesthetic Practice
This unit is designed to develop the learner’s knowledge and understanding
of the legal and regulatory requirements of working in the aesthetics industry
to ensure safe and effective treatment practice, the guidelines for the safe use
and management of aesthetic medicines and the risks associated with lone
working.

Unit 2 Professional Standards within Aesthetic Practice
The aim of this unit is to develop the learner’s understanding of professional and
ethical standards of practice in the aesthetics industry, including clinical
insurance requirements, marketing responsibilities and personal professional
development.

Unit 3 Working Collaboratively with Healthcare Professionals
The aim of this unit is to enable learners to develop an understanding of the
principles of working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver
aesthetic treatments.Learners will examine working within a team and will
understand the importance of effective communication and respect for equality,
diversity and culture.

Unit 4 A P and M of the Ageing Face
The aim of this unit is to enable learners to develop an understanding of the anatomy and
physiology of the head and neck and how morphology of ageing effects the facial anatomical
structures.

Unit 5 Part 1 Skin Needling
The aim of this unit is to develop the learner’s skills and knowledge in skin needling on
the face and body to regenerate and improve the skin.

Unit 5 Part 2 Chemical Peels
The aim of this unit is to develop the learner’s skills and knowledge in medium grade
chemical peels on the face and body to regenerate and improve the skin.
